Want to make some really yummy apple puff pastry dough rosettes? Well, here is an easy recipe with an original look and taste. Actually, there are so many different types of Apple Roses on the net but I, personally decided to make apple rose puff pastry. The ingredients that you will need to make these are the following:
1) 250 g puff pastry dough (pre-thawed)
2) Two red apples
3) Three tbs of sugar
4) Powered sugar for dusting
The first thing you need to do is remove the inedible part from the apples and cut them into 2mm slice.
For about 2-3 minutes boil the apple slices with water and sugar until it is softened, then drain water.
After rolling your thawed dough to a thickness of 1-2 mm, cut into strips of 25-30cm long and 3cm wide.
Put on each strip 5 pieces of apple, leaving 1/3 of the piece of apple outside the dough.
Then wrap the dough strip into a tube gently forming a rose and join inside the bottoms.
The last step is to place on a tray covered with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
Now that your roses are ready sprinkle them using powdered sugar! Congratulations, your beautiful roses are ready to be served!
