DIY Recipe : Christmas Tree Meringue!

It’s Christmas time and that also means yummy treats time! Today, I’m sharing with you this Christmas Tree meringue recipe I found on this blog !

It seems easy to make and will be great gifts to offer to family and friends!



Here is what you will need:

– 4 Egg Whites

– 1 1/3 Cup Sugar

– 1/4 TSP Salt

– 1/4 TSP Cream of Tarter

– Green coloring

– Parchment Paper

– Pipping Bag

– Large Round Tip


Step 1: Preheat the oven to 150 – 170 degrees. Now in the bowl of an electric mixer, seprate egg yolks from egg whites.


Step 2: Now you’ll have to beat eggs until they become white and foamy. Then mix in 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp cream of tarter until soft peaks form. Make sure to set the timer for 7 minutes. The, slowly add in sugar a bit at a time taking the entire 7 minutes to do so.

Step 3: Now time to make you trees. Fill piping bags with meringue using large round tip.


Step 4: On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet pipe yellow dots of meringue about an inch across. Holding the icing bag vertical. Just press gently until you get a nice shape release pressure then pull up. I have found that these bake best when they are no bigger then and inch wide and an inch tall.


Step 5: Add a little stars and sprinkles to get the Christmassy effect :) I used red and green sprinkles and a little red star I put on the top of the tree.


Step 6: Now bake at a very low heat (about 150-170) for about two hours to two and a half hours until they are nice and crisp. I just checked on mine every so often to make sure they haven’t started to brown :) Enjoy!
