The following recipe is a tutorial on how to make chocolate nest bowls , which you can use as dessert to many sweet ingredients such as ice cream , whipped cream , candy and more !

You will need :

  • 1/2 cup of chocolate wafers (half white chocolate and half milk chocolate)
  • Coconut
  • Green Food colouring
  • Bowl
  • Plastic

Start by lining a small dipping bowl with plastic wrap

Melt a 1/2 cup of chocolate wafers in microwave for 10-15 second intervals, stirring in between until chocolate has melted completely !

While chocolate is still hot, place in piping bag and allow to sit for approximately 1 minute, or until chocolate becomes a little firmer.

Pipe chocolate into plastic lined bowl in an irregular circular motion; allow to cool and harden.

Gently remove plastic from bowl and peel from chocolate

Turn chocolate bowl upside down onto dipping bowl or cutting board and pipe some more chocolate to hide the impression left by the plastic wrap  .

You can now fill your chocolate nest with ice cream , whipped cream, mousse or else

Dye coconuts with green food colouring and spread on the plate
